A&O Shearman | Chinese New Year Floral Workshop
We organised a Chinese New Year floral workshop for A&O Shearman, attended by 40 employees. Using festive flowers such as peony chrysanthemums and fireworks chrysanthemums, participants created their own New Year centrepieces to display at home or in the office.
Client Objectives
A&O Shearman wanted to arrange a festive floral activity during Chinese New Year that employees could enjoy and take part in together.
In addition to giving colleagues a chance to take a break from work and create festive arrangements by hand, the client also hoped to share New Year wishes with the team through the activity and add a relaxed, celebratory atmosphere to the office.
Our Solution
We designed a Chinese New Year centrepiece workshop for 40 employees, using brightly coloured festive flowers such as peony chrysanthemums and fireworks chrysanthemums.
The workshop began with the instructor introducing the flowers, demonstrating basic preparation techniques and explaining the steps for creating the centrepieces. Participants then arranged the flowers according to their preferences, adjusting their height, direction and layers.
The finished arrangements were sized appropriately for display on an office desk or at home. Even without any floral design experience, participants could follow the demonstration step by step, then add their own ideas to the basic structure.
The Experience
Throughout the workshop, employees created their centrepieces while chatting and admiring one another’s work, bringing a more relaxed Chinese New Year atmosphere to the everyday office environment.
Once completed, each participant could take their Chinese New Year centrepiece home or place it on their desk to enjoy after the event, extending the company’s New Year wishes into their work and living spaces.
