HKR International | Easter Floral Basket Workshop
We held an Easter Floral Basket Workshop at Discovery Bay Community Center, with 20 families taking part. Parents and children used brightly colored fresh flowers and greenery to create Easter floral baskets featuring animal-shaped elements.
Client's Goals
Discovery Bay Community Center wanted to arrange a family-friendly festive activity for Discovery Bay residents during Easter.
The workshop needed to engage children of different ages, encourage parents and children to complete the creations together, strengthen parent-child interaction, and provide community residents with an opportunity to connect and get to know one another.
Our Solution
We designed an Easter floral basket workshop for 20 families, combining floral arrangement with animal-shaped decorations to give the creations a more playful and festive character.
The workshop began with the instructor introducing the floral materials and the production steps, followed by a demonstration of how to arrange the fresh flowers, greenery, and Easter decorations.
The process was designed around family participation. Children could choose and arrange the floral materials with their parents' assistance, while parents could help with the more complex steps, allowing everyone to complete the basket together.
Event Experience
During the activity, parents and children discussed color combinations, arranged the floral materials, and added decorations together. Each family could complete its creation according to its own ideas, so even though they used the same materials, every finished basket was unique.
The workshop gave families an opportunity to create together during Easter and provided Discovery Bay residents with a relaxed community activity. Afterward, each family could take its floral basket home as an Easter decoration and a memento of their parent-child activity.
