Rose Buying Guide | Ecuadorian & Kenyan Roses VS Chinese & Vietnamese Roses! Unveiling the Secrets of Roses from Different Origins to Help You Choose the Perfect Flower Bouquet!

Roses symbolize love and are the most classic flowers to express affection. But did you know roses come from different origins? Roses from different origins have subtle differences in shape, blooming period, fragrance, and more. This article will explore the differences between Ecuadorian, Kenyan, Chinese, and Vietnamese roses, helping you choose the perfect Premium Rose Bouquet for different occasions and needs, while enhancing your gift-giving taste!

Premium choice: Ecuadorian & Kenyan Roses

High-altitude roses from Ecuador and Kenya are world-renowned for their thick stems, large blooms, and long-lasting flowering periods. Thanks to their equatorial location and high-altitude growing environment, roses from these regions enjoy ample sunlight and fertile volcanic soil, nurturing top-quality roses with vibrant colors and rich layers.

Ecuadorian Roses: Known as the "Hermès of Roses," famous for their huge blooms and rich colors. Classic varieties include "Freedom" and "Avalanche," with thick petals and full shapes, possessing excellent ornamental value. Ideal for expressing intense love, making them the top choice for proposals, anniversaries, and other important occasions.

Kenyan Roses: Known for their variety of colors and unique fragrance. Many rare varieties, such as "Rainbow Rose" and "Black Rose," come from Kenya. The stems are upright, and the blooming period is long-lasting, making them a more noble and tasteful gift. Suitable for lovers who pursue individuality or to express sincere friendship.

Affordable choice: Chinese & Vietnamese Roses

Chinese and Vietnamese roses have large production volumes and relatively affordable prices, making them common choices in daily life. Although the flower size and blooming period may not match those of Ecuadorian and Kenyan roses, they still have beautiful shapes and colors, suitable for everyday expressions of love and holiday celebrations.

Chinese Roses: With many varieties and affordable prices, they are the most common type of rose in daily life. The colors are mainly red, pink, and white, suitable for making Flower Bouquets, flower baskets, etc.

Vietnamese Roses: Rapidly developing in recent years, they have secured a place in the market due to their price advantage. The color selection is relatively limited, but for budget-conscious consumers, it is a good choice.

Rose size and shape

Roses from Ecuador, Colombia, and Kenya are clearly larger in bud size than Chinese roses, with more petals and a more solid overall shape. The outermost protective petals are more noticeable. (Please note: rose protective petals usually have more flaws than other petals, which is normal. Removing the protective petals too early will speed up the blooming of the rose.)

Compared to Chinese roses, the Premium Rose Bouquet heads are obviously smaller, with fewer petals and more flaws in shape.

With proper rose care and depending on indoor temperature and humidity, Ecuador, Colombia, Kenya roses generally last at least 7-10 days, possibly up to 14 days.

In contrast, Chinese roses generally have a short vase life, lasting at most about 5 to 7 days.
