Byredo | CNY Floral Workshop
Client Objectives
For Lunar New Year 2025, Byredo hoped to arrange a Year of the Snake-themed Floral Workshop for 12 VIP guests at its Causeway Bay flagship store.
The brand wanted the piece not only to convey a festive Lunar New Year atmosphere, but also to reflect the Year of the Snake theme through the forms of the flowers, allowing guests to take their completed pieces home for continued display.
Our Proposal
We designed a Year of the Snake hanging Floral Workshop for 12 VIP guests, with each participant creating a floral piece that could be hung on display.
The piece centered on gladiolus, using the curved, flowing lines of the stems to echo the form of a snake, complemented by dancing orchids and lace flowers to create variation in the flowers’ sizes, textures, and lines.
During the workshop, guests could adjust the curve and direction of the gladiolus according to their preferences, then add other flowers to the hanging structure. Even when using the same flowers, each completed piece would still feature different lines.
Workshop Experience
The workshop took place inside Byredo’s Causeway Bay flagship store. The florist demonstrated step by step how to prepare and secure the flowers, and helped guests maintain the balance of their hanging pieces.
After completing the piece, guests can take it home, hang it in their own living space for continued enjoyment, and have a Year of the Snake Floral Decoration they made themselves.
